Talking of Hyundai, it has been over a decade since its steps toward the green-car market. It made a sale of whooping 63,851 units in July 2022, while the figures were 60,529 units. Let us take a little dive into the concept!

What is Green Car Market?

Just as the name says, these are the cars that run without any fuel or gas and release no carbon either. The kinds of cars that are products of this marketplace are electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, plugin hybrid vehicles, and battery electric vehicles.

 The market has been going through some major changes following the advancements in technology and designs. The marketplace is home to some leading automobile brands, including Honda, Hyundai, and Volkswagen. 

Green Warriors at Hyundai

Now when it comes to the smart moves Hyundai made, Kia Corp and Hyundai Motor Co have collectively made a sale of 29,848 eco-friendly vehicles. It eventually resulted in the rise in the sale of the brand to 1.024 million. Hyundai embarked on its journey in the year 2009 and made it a journey of 13 years. It introduced the Grandeur Hybrid in the year 2013, and it has become the best-selling car, with its sales increasing to 1,84,000 units. Niro Hybrid model by Kia stands next in the line, which raised the figures by 126,500. The Sonata Hybrid took it to 98,300. The brand believes that the risen popularity and awareness are expected to increase the number further. 

Talking of the numbers only, the three months till June brought a profit of 2.34 billion dollars to the brand. In the six months, the sales were 1.88 million vehicles, which paved the way for the brand to achieve its sales target to extent of 43 per cent.
