2023 Infiniti QX80 Adds New Amazon Alexa Functionality & Free Maintenance

The flagship QX80 SUV for 2023 is about to be revealed as Infiniti continues to reveal details about its 2023 model lineup. Although there are more technological features, they come at a higher beginning price and don’t represent a considerable difference from the previous model year. However, the huge family hauler’s external and interior designs remain the same.

On the technological front, the Amazon Alexa voice assistant is now a standard feature, allowing the driver and passengers to operate the car’s infotainment system without ever touching a button. The Lane Departure Warning system now has haptic steering-wheel input, which makes subtle movements to remind the driver that they need to get back in their lane.

Following a significant refresh last year, the QX80 maintains its 12.3-inch infotainment system display, allowing wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity via a USB connector. In addition, the Japanese manufacturer now provides an Apple CarPlay wireless upgrade for free on some of its older models. The required equipment now includes a wireless smartphone charger.

With three trim levels—Luxe, Premium Select, and Sensory—the premium SUV rolls over to the 2017 model year. Under the hood, there have been no alterations. There is only one engine option for the 2023 QX80: a 5.6-liter V8 producing 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque.

Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission and Infiniti’s optional All-Mode four-wheel drive system. The SUV’s body-on-frame structure allows it to tow up to 8,500 lbs (3,855 kilograms). For all classes, the self-leveling rear suspension is standard.

The 2023 QX80 offers the enticing convenience of INFINITI Premium Care, just like all 2023 INFINITI cars, whether leased or purchased outright, sold in the United States. The luxury automaker’s reputation for giving top-notch customer satisfaction is furthered by this integrated maintenance service, which includes inspections, oil changes, and tire rotations every three years.

Every QX80 comes standard with active safety technologies, including Forward Emergency Braking with pedestrian recognition, Rear Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, and High Beam Assist, as well as an Around View® Monitor with Moving Object Detection for enhanced peace of mind.

The entry-level price is for the Luxe RWD specification ($75,800 with 4WD), which includes 20-inch wheels, a 13-speaker Bose audio system, leather seats with Charcoal Burl decor, wireless phone charging, a power liftgate, a Smart Rearview Mirror, and more for the price previously indicated.

The next trim level is the Premium Select, which has a price of $80,885 for 4WD and $77,785 for RWD. In addition to the 22-inch dark chrome wheels, Matte Mocha Burl interior trim, black exterior mirror caps, and dark chrome exterior trim, this option includes all of those features.

In addition to numerous other comforts, the Sensory specification ($84,835 or $87,935 with 4WD) comes with semi-aniline quilted leather seats, chrome mirror caps, a 17-speaker Bose Performance Series sound system, climate-controlled front seats, and the Hydraulic Body Motion Control suspension system.

Regarding active safety features, all QX80 models include the Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Automatic Braking, Forward Emergency Braking, Pedestrian Detection, and Lane Departure Warning as standard equipment.
