The Black Diamond package is a new off-road-focused addition to the 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The option, which costs $1295 and is available for the Big Bend and Outer Banks trims, improves the Bronco Sports’ off-road abilities by equipping the vehicle with steel bash plates for more underbody protection. Ford also invites anyone who placed orders for the 2023 Bronco Sport to participate in the Bronco Off-Roadeo.

Ford now offers a middle ground for those who want to take their Bronco Sport off-road but don’t want to shell out as much as they would for the fully loaded Badlands variant. The $1295 Bronco Sport Black Diamond option fills in the blanks by providing the buyer with a bevy of updated aesthetics and, more crucially, bolstering the Bronco Sport’s safety features. The undercarriage, including the gas tank, is protected by four steel skid plates, while the front of the vehicle is shielded from sharp pebbles by a skid plate. All-terrain tires measuring 225/65R17 are mounted on brand-new 17-inch rims.

The package’s added value is the graphics on the hood, lower body, and doors. Only the Big Bend and Outer Banks models may purchase the extra package, although the Badlands model already comes standard with AT tires and skid plates to safeguard the engine and fuel tank. Ford also said the Bronco Off-Roadeo program for 2023 Bronco Sports purchasers would be enhanced.

This program, offered in four different cities around the nation, is designed to educate new car owners on the features and, more importantly, the safety features of their automobiles. Ford claims that after participating in the Off-Roadeo program, 97% of Bronco Sports customers feel more confident off-roading, and 90% are more willing to go off-roading again.
